How can Republic of Macedonia get a functional Parliament?
On April 11, 2018 ISSHS organized the public event “How can Republic of Macedonia get a functional Parliament” with MPs Frosina Remenski (SDSM), Vlatko Gjorchev (VMRO DPMNE), Xhevat Ademi (DUI/BDI) and CSOs representatives – On April 11, 2018 ISSHS organized the public event “How can Republic of Macedonia get a functional Parliament” with MPs Frosina Remenski (SDSM), Vlatko Gjorchev (VMRO DPMNE), Xhevat Ademi (DUI/BDI) and CSOs representatives – Nenad Markovikj (IDSCS) and Gordan Georgiev (ISSHS). It was one of the few occasions where political parties from opposition and the ruling coalition participated in a constructive dialogue. The topics that were discussed were reforms in the electoral system enabling greater plurality through intraparty democracy, inter-party dialogue and cross-party issue-based alliance.
The debate was a part of the project “Policy discussions on reform priorities to enable ‘de-capturing’ of state institutions”, funded by the National Endowment for Democracy.
