Gender struggle: New forms of feminism and materialism
In 2019-2020, the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities – Skopje implemented the project “Gender struggle: New forms of feminism and materialism,” supported by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Southeast Europe. The project aimed to address women’s rights and sexual identity rights as main social issue. That was accomplished through introducing and initiating discussion on current feminist and gender issues through the lens of contemporary Marxist, Marxist-feminist, new materialist and speculative perspectives as new and relevant knowledge and as an epistemic foundation for a new form of politics. This project’s activities included a 3-day Summer School for Politics and Critique in Skopje in September 2020 and a publication with the proceedings from the school.
