Social Normalization: Strengthening Political Dialogue and Depolarizing Public Discourse
In 2019-2020, the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities – Skopje implemented the project “Social Normalization: Strengthening Political Dialogue and Depolarization of Public Discourse”, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Program: Civica Mobilitas. The aim of the project was to contribute to the depolarization of society by changing the discursive practices of political antagonism and dialogue between key social actors. The project focused on building a model for depolarization by encouraging supra-party alliances in policy-making by involving parliamentary and non-parliamentary political parties, civil society organizations, media and other social actors.
One of the analyzes that emerged from this project is “The polarizing discourse and the impact on political and social polarization in Macedonian society”, available at: https://www.isshs.edu.mk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Поларизирачкиот-дискурс-и-влијанието-врз-политичката-и-социјалната-поларизација-во-македонското-општество.pdf
