AVENUES OF COOPERATION: IDEAS FOR OVERCOMING THE MACEDONIAN-BULGARIAN IMPASSE

On 11 March 2022, The Centre for Advanced Study Sofia and the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities – Skopje organized the round table discussion “Avenues of Cooperation: Ideas for overcoming the Macedonian-Bulgarian Impasse.” The discussion was part of the “Avenues of Cooperation” project, supported by the International Visegrad Fund and Balkan Trust for Democracy. The aim was to contribute to positive changes in society, especially aimed at depolarization of public narratives, decreasing nationalism and promoting cooperation through a combination of research and data driven advocacy and awareness raising in North Macedonia and Bulgaria. The official speakers were: Prof. Katerina Kolozova (Executive Director of ISSHS) and Assoc. Prof. Stefan Detchev (Southwest University of Blagoevgrad and Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”), while moderator was Prof. Dimitar Vatsov (New Bulgarian University.)
