  • Results of a national poll on the ongoing political crisis in Macedonia

    In the period of May-June 2016, ISSH-Skopje conducted a telephone survey in the 8 regions of the country, namely the Vardar, Southwestern, Southeastern, Pelagonia, Polog, the Northeastern region and Skopje. The survey was based on a representative sample of 900 respondents.

  • Invitation for Panel discussion

    It is our great pleasure to invite you on 16th of June 2016 at 11 o’clock at the premises of EU InfoCentre in Skopje on a panel discussion on the topic of “Technology of state capture: The case of Macedonia 2011 – 2016.”


    The state capture in Macedonia has been ongoing for years. Under the guise of EU integration oriented reforms, since 2011 mechanisms of legalizing pretension toward absolute rule of the executive branch have been established in Macedonia. Along with Hungary and other post-communist countries, Macedonia has been at the forefront of the rising “illiberal democracies” in Europe.

  • Memorandum of Understanding

    It is our great honor and exceptional pleasure to announce that the Postgraduate Programs in Cultural Studies and in Gender Studies of the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities from Skopje (ISSHS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute of Cultural Inquiry (ICON) of Utrecht University.
